Project Funding 2026

The Research Committee of the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) is pleased to announce that funding is available to support research projects through the allocation of small research bursaries.

The Research Committee is now accepting applications for funding to support research projects relating to pre-hospital emergency care or paramedicine.

Applications should be no more than 1,200 words and should include:

1. Background and rationale for the proposed research

2. Aims and objectives

3. Proposed methodology

4. Expected impact and relevance to pre-hospital emergency care or paramedicine

5. Alignment with the PHECC Research Strategy

6. A brief project timeline

7. The amount of funding requested and a brief breakdown of how the funding will be used Applications will be assessed in accordance with the PHECC Research Funding Policy (LINK), which considers the quality of the proposed research, potential impact, strategic alignment and future potential.

Funding awarded to individual projects will be determined based on the requirements of the project and the justification provided in the application

Applications should be submitted by email to research@phecc.ie no later than 5pm on 25th October 2026.
